Television adverts

Published by at 9:05 pm under Media,Television

I cant begin to describe how pissed off I am with TV companies turning the volume up for the adverts. What is the matter with these people? Do they think we will listen to their puerile broadcasts just because it gets louder? It’s like speaking louder to a foreigner who doesn’t understand you.

Get the message – we are not listening.

It’s an insult to have marketing dip-shits trying to ram messages down our throats in such an offensive manner.

Making it louder doesn’t make a shite product any more interesting. I suggest they try recruiting someone with an IQ higher than an amoeba :-x

I noticed in the Mail yesterday that there are new laws coming into force this summer which should stop this in its tracks.

Apparently, broadcasting watchdogs have been aware of this for a while and, in 2005, the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint against Channel 4 having upheld a similar complaint against Channel 5 earlier in the year.

With a bit of luck you’ll never have to be deafened by sh*te adverts again :-)
