Fly Tipping
It’s Thursday and I’ve just discovered how hard it is to dispose of unwanted items responsibly. I have a lot of stuff to dispose of from the office so I filled up my van and drove down to the local skip.
“Do you have a permit sir?” asked the jobsworth.
“Erm no, says I”
“Then you’ll have to get one”, says jobsworth.
Now, if I wasn’t so public spirited I’d just dump the stuff at the road side.
And that’s why there’s been a huge increase in fly tipping ‘cos it’s so bloody hard to do the right thing.
Of course, it highlights another problem i.e. we all have loads of stuff that’s perfectly good but we don’t want it anymore. Nor does anyone else so I can’t shift it on Ebay either.
Recycling is great, if you have somewhere to recycle it to other than the nearest ditch.
